As of October 1st, our requests for assistance process is once again open. Our team has been busy this summer catching up with all of the amazing furniture donations and we're ready to get them into the hands of those in need in our community.
If you or someone you know is seeking support, you can now submit a request directly through our website. In turn, we will reach out to you in order to schedule a pick-up.
Every piece of furniture we distribute helps transform a house into a comfortable, welcoming home. (*We currently have a need for all sizes comforters and blankets.)
If you’ve got gently used items looking for a new home, we’d love to have them—let’s keep working together to lift up our neighbors around Greater Birmingham.

At Community Furniture Bank, our warehouse is an open and inviting spot where clients can find everything they need to furnish their home.
We organize donations into "departments," just as you'll find in a nearby big box store. And, Team CFB is always on-hand to assist in any way.

This organization is a free, confidential referral service that connects people with local community resources, including emergency shelter, food pantries, health services, and clothing/furniture banks.
Community Food Bank of Central AL feedingal.org
Feeding AL is central lifeline supplying millions of meals through a network of local food pantries, soup kitchens, and emergency shelters across the region. Essential for clients facing severe food insecurity alongside household hardship.

Goodwill Industries of Central Alabama offers job training, readiness classes, career counseling, and employment placement assistance to individuals facing barriers to self-sufficiency. A brilliant pairing for clients getting back on their feet after experiencing housing transition.

The YWCA provides confidential emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence and their children across Jefferson, Blount, and St. Clair counties. Beyond immediate safety, they operate transitional and permanent supportive housing programs to help individuals secure a permanent address. They assist clients with practical resources like clothing, personal care items, and referrals for furniture as they move into independent living.
